Welfare Poem. (what do you think?)

I cross ocean, poor and broke, Take bus, see employment folk.
Nice man treat me good in there, Say I need to see welfare.
Welfare say, 'You come no more, We send cash right to your door.' Welfare checks, they make you wealthy, Medicaid it keep you healthy!
By and by, I got plenty money, Thanks to you, American dummy..
Write to friends in motherland, Tell them 'come fast as you can.'
They come in turbans and Ford trucks, I buy big house with welfare bucks
They come here, we live together, More welfare checks, it gets better!
Fourteen families, they moving in, But neighbor's patience wearing thin.
Finally, white guy moves away, Now I buy his house, and then I say,
'Find more aliens for house to rent.'
And in the yard I put a tent.
Send for family they just trash,
But they, too, draw the welfare cash!
Everything is very good, And soon we own the neighbourhood.
We have hobby it's called breeding, Welfare pay for baby feeding.
Kids need dentist?
Wife need pills?
We get free!
We got no bills!
American crazy!
He pay all year, To keep welfare running here.
We think America darn good place! Too darn good for the white man race.
If they no like us, they can scram, Got lots of room in Pakistan.
It is interesting that the federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890.00 and each > can also get an additional $580.00 in social assistance for a total of$2,470.00.
this compares very well to a single pensioner who after contributing to the growth and development o f America for 40 to 50 years can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012.00 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement.
Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!
Lets send this to all Americans, so we can all be ticked off andmaybe we can get the refugees cut back to $1,012.00 and the pensionersup to $2,470 00 and enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit tothe Government over the last 40 or 50 years.

` What about pensioner refugees?

` Really sucks to be a refugee. You have to spend months or years in this crappy camps and no matter what you want to get OUT!
` Finally, they send you to some random country. You either take it or you stay in the horrible camp.
` So, you wind up going to some country that you didn't know you were going to, and so could not prepare by learning the local culture and language.
` It's hard. So I wouldn't be so pissed off by refugees!

Well, I think that's an unfortunate and inaccurate poem. Most foreigners coming here, be they refugees or just regular immigrants (and some of these people are my relatives), desire nothing but to work hard and take advantage of the potential for economic advancement that America provides.

Living where I do, I encounter plenty of whites on a daily basis who repulse me far more than any immigrant has been able to do.

P.S.

Please know that I mean no disrespect. I simply try to be honest in the expression of my opinions with all people, including fellow bloggers.

I'd expect nothing less from anyone else reading my own material, so long as they're not rude about it.

Ok everyone this wasnt to be a bashing post against immigrants or refugees. It was an email that was sent to me asking what I thought of what the writer was saying like did I too believe this way? I was just collectiong opinions. My great grandparents came across so in truth they too are immigrants. Oh and to make matters worse my great grandfather hid on the ship so he was a stole-away which is worse!IN MY OPINION anyways.

Excellent poem and sad statistics - you've summed up the issues very well.

America deserves what's coming if the borders aren't patrolled better. It just gets more ridiculous. I'm from Canada and it's even worse there...

But then I have been living in Africa for the past 13 years! Here it's a whole different story...

Keep up the great work - I love it!

My dad employs an illegal immigrant who risks his life to be in the US and pays through the nose. I can't even imagine that life. Thanks for this post.

The REAL issue is the corporate types making millions and billions.

(Where do you think our money just went?)

If they can cleverly convince us that the govt and each other are the problems, they can continue to rape us as we dismantle reasonable regulation...like airline and food safety!

Don't hate on the poor and immigrants. Give them a chance to contribute and provide for their families too. Look at the real criminals, my blogging Brother
